Sonia serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Propel Funeral Partners and is Chair of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee.
Sonia is a lawyer and company director who has chaired listed ASX companies, Government business enterprises and not-for-profit organisations and served as a director in the insurance and financial services, professional services, agriculture, healthcare and biotechnology industries. Sonia is currently a member of faculty with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, facilitating the Company Directors Course. She is a also non-executive director of SIS Australia Holdings Ltd, a member of Queen’s College Council and Board member of the University of Melbourne Law School Foundation. She was the former Chair of Vitrafy (ASX:VFY), QantmIP Ltd (formerly ASX:QIP), Virtus Health Ltd (Formerly ASX:VRT) and has formerly served on the boards of TAL, Cuscal, TAC, Rural Finance Corporation and GWMWater.
Sonia has degrees in law and commerce from the University of Melbourne, is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a member of CEW and received an Order of Australia for significant service to the law, and to the finance and business sectors in 2026.
